Ayer Finance Committee approves prior minutes and hears NVTHS budget proposal. Superintendent Dr. Denise Pigeon presented the Nashoba Valley Technical High School's FY27 budget, featuring a 4.81 percent overall increase and a $234,000 jump in Ayer's assessment, approximately 29 percent higher than prior year.
The school deferred capital projects, paused a $100,000 OPEB contribution, and reduced costs by roughly $1.5 million from initial proposals. NVTHS also plans a feasibility study for HVAC replacement, estimated at $600,000 to $900,000, to be funded from the school's $1.5 million stabilization fund with anticipated 55 percent MSBA reimbursement.
