Select Board · Meeting of April 7, 2026

Ayer Select Board approves $10.4 million bond and FY 2027 budget. The board unanimously approved a General Obligation Municipal Purpose Bond Issue to Brownstone Investment Group, LLC, which includes a $925,456 premium and 3.2286 percent net interest rate; S&P Global Ratings affirmed the town's AA+ bond rating prior to sale. Town Manager Robert Pontbriand presented the FY 2027 Warrant containing twenty-eight articles and one citizens' petition, which the Finance Committee unanimously recommended on April 2.

The Capital Plan was reduced 57 percent while still advancing town initiatives; the citizens' petition from Christine Goulet seeks a home rule petition to restrict second generation anticoagulant pesticides. The board also took a proposal to create an ombudsman position under advisement following public input.
