Ayer Sustainability Committee Seeks Waterway Cleanup Volunteers

AYER — Ayer's Sustainability Committee is recruiting volunteers for a cleanup day aimed at protecting the town's waterways, one of two environmental initiatives the town highlighted this week.

The town is asking residents to pitch in on two fronts tied to the environment. The Sustainability Committee is organizing a volunteer day and is looking for residents willing to help, according to a notice posted on the town's website. Separately, the town is promoting an effort to help keep Ayer's waterways clean, part of the same broader push to protect local natural resources.
