Board of Assessors approves $1.2M motor vehicle excise commitment

Ayer assessors approve $1.2M in motor vehicle excise commitments. The Board of Assessors unanimously approved Motor Vehicle Excise Commitment number 1 of 2026, authorizing 7,814 new bills totaling $1,210,341.73, along with two additional commitments from 2025 worth a combined $36,691.60, under Chairman Nick Laggis. Assessing Administrator April Iannacone presented the warrants for the board's approval and signature.
The board also unanimously approved an abatement report documenting four exemptions totaling $633.50, plus four additional Statutory Exemptions for $2,018.49.
