Ayer Board of Health plans March public hearing on animal control regulations. The board, chaired by Pamela L. Papineau with members Patricia A.

Peters and Steve Slarsky present, discussed updates to its animal regulations that will add late fees, permit requirements, and information on avian flu and rodent control. Health Agent Bridgette Pontbriand reported on Nashoba Associated Boards of Health matters, including a five-day water outage at Devencrest affecting 57 units and an ongoing diesel-truck-idling complaint. The board also fielded a noise complaint from resident Amy McCoy regarding car racing at the Devens airfield; enforcement is difficult as the noise originates from outside Ayer.
