Capital Planning Reviews $1M in Capital Requests

AYER — The Capital Planning Committee reviewed more than $1 million in FY 2027 capital requests from Facilities, Fire, and Police departments. The Facilities Department requested $337,000 for building upgrades, including $195,000 for the 24-year-old Town Hall HVAC system and $80,000 for Library HVAC renovation that could leverage up to $177,405 in state grant funding. The Fire Department requested $578,010 from its Ambulance Enterprise Fund for a replacement ambulance and $86,000 for a Fire Prevention Vehicle.
The Police Department requested $28,500 for detective bureau upgrades. The committee approved prior meeting minutes and scheduled final recommendations for January 29.
