AYER — The Ayer Council on Aging Board approved its meeting agenda unanimously and postponed approval of outstanding December minutes to February. Chair Mary Markham presided over discussion of the Senior Center Director's report, which highlighted a January 20th listening session, completion of design development drawings for a planned new building, and consideration of outsourcing grant writing ahead of a staff retirement in March. The board reviewed a draft volunteer manual rebranding the center as the "Center for Older Adults" per state guidance and continued assessment work under the National Council of Aging framework, with members establishing that "large group" programming in current space accommodates approximately 20 people.
