Council on Aging Board · Meeting of February 10, 2026
AYER — The Ayer Council on Aging Board approved an amended agenda and heard updates on senior center operations and a new building project. Director Dr. Katie Petrossi reported that staff provided outreach to 33 older adults across 46 visits in January, completed 449 transportation trips, and launched a pro bono dementia nurse consultation service.
The board reviewed draft volunteer handbook feedback and completed the final section of a National Council of Aging self-assessment. Petrossi said she will investigate a decline in Meals on Wheels clientele and noted the new senior center will feature security systems and panic buttons currently absent from the existing facility.
