AYER — Finance Committee approves two prior meeting minutes and receives DPW FY27 budget proposal. Chair Kurt Fraczkowski, Vice Chair Andrew Sealey, Clerk Eric Sechman, and Member Bob France voted unanimously on prior minutes. DPW Chief Dan Van Schalkwyk presented proposals across Water, Wastewater, Solid Waste, and StormWater enterprise funds, including a $10,000 increase for well maintenance, salary increases tied to employee changes and step increases, and a new Massachusetts Clean Water Trust fee.
Committee members questioned a 23 percent Water Fund Salary increase and capital transfer funding; Van Schalkwyk committed to clarifying the salary discrepancy. The rate review committee is recommending no increase to the StormWater rate for FY27.
