Library Trustees approve policy updates and governance measures.

Ayer Library Trustees vote unanimously to revise five service policies and authorize their Chair to hire a CPA. Susan Kennedy, Chair, was authorized to select and engage an accountant to review the library's Form 990 tax filings; the Board also approved a $687 payment to Hurwitt and Associates. Treasurer Brenda Richard reported closing fund balances of $195,102.08 with $549.89 in interest earned.
Director Luke Kirkland presented strategic planning research and a self-evaluation, with the Board expressing thanks for his leadership; Kathleen Cashel was elected to the Board in the May 12 ballot.
