Parks Commission conducts field walkthrough at Pirone Park

Ayer Parks Commission inspected five athletic fields at Pirone Park to document spring maintenance. Chair Sarah A. Gibbons, members Dave Grubb and Brad Spinney, Parks Director Gerry Amenta, Town Manager Robert Pontbriand, and Facilities Director Chuck Shultz reviewed conditions and identified work across all fields: Field 6 needs clay, dethatching, and seeding; Field 1's left field fence is unsafe and sod holes require filling; Field 2 needs grading and clay; Field 5 requires minimal vegetation scraping and clay; and Field 4 will receive foul line painting for coach pitch use.
The commission unanimously approved opening the meeting.
