Ayer Planning Board unanimously backed two zoning amendments advancing to Town Meeting October 26.
Planning Board · Meeting of September 22, 2026
Ayer Planning Board unanimously backed two zoning amendments advancing to Town Meeting October 26. Community Development Program Manager Katie Neville presented a revised inclusionary housing bylaw that lowers affordability thresholds to 60 and 50 percent of Area Median Income for rental units, down from 80 percent, after an earlier 20 percent inclusionary requirement produced zero qualifying projects. Town Planner Danny Ruiz introduced a temporary moratorium on data centers running through May 1, 2028, with a refined definition removing language that could create loopholes.
The Board simultaneously approved a 32-unit multifamily development at 26 and 30 Littleton Road for The Grossman Companies, with three units deed-restricted affordable at 80 percent AMI and new sidewalk connections to Littleton Road.
