Select Board approves $874,926 in reserve fund transfers and board appointments.

Ayer Select Board unanimously approved $800,000 in Community Preservation Act grants for affordable housing and three reserve fund transfers totaling $74,926.32. Chair Christopher E. Tavares, Vice-Chair Jannice L.

Livingston, and Clerk Shaun C. Copeland voted to allocate $400,000 each to the Neighborhood of Affordable Housing at 65 Fitchburg Road and the Devenscrest Tenant Association from the Housing Reserve Account. The Board approved $40,000 for Information Technology infrastructure improvements, $32,000 for the Assessing Department's tax litigation defense, and $2,926.32 for the Treasurer's Department to cover unanticipated interest payments from Appellate Tax Board rulings.

Marilyn Schmalenberger was appointed permanent Zoning Board of Appeals member, replacing Michael Gibbons, and Roger Martel was named tenant representative to the Ayer Housing Authority.
