Select Board approves generator connections, pump station upgrade, COLA boost

AYER — The Ayer Select Board unanimously approved two wastewater infrastructure contracts and a personnel cost increase. Chair Jannice L. Livingston and members Christopher E.
Tavares and Shaun C. Copeland voted to execute a $37,670 contract with Duoba Electrical Contracting for generator connections at two pump stations and approved a $116,998.57 change order for underground electrical service relocation at the Wright Way facility. Town Manager Robert A.
Pontbriand reported that municipal health insurance costs will rise only 6.2 percent in FY 27, far below initial estimates. The board unanimously approved a 2 percent cost-of-living adjustment for non-union personnel, citing consistency with union contracts.
