Ayer Library Subcommittee Votes to Enter Executive Session on Director's Contract

AYER — April 20, 2021 — Ayer Library subcommittee enters executive session to review director's contract. A two-member subcommittee consisting of Robert Gardner and Deborah Faust Clancy met remotely on April 20 for just a few minutes before voting 2-0 to close the session under Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30A, Section 21A to discuss contract negotiations. The contract belonging to library director Mr. Silva is set to expire July 1, 2021. The meeting was broadcast live on Channel 8 and via Zoom under emergency open meeting accommodations tied to the COVID-19 pandemic. No members of the public participated. The subcommittee adjourned immediately after entering executive session, taking no other action in open session.
