AYER — Planning Board convenes for Lincoln Hills construction emergency. The special February 12 meeting addressed a February 6 fly rock incident and truck traffic violations at the development site, with project manager Jason Martin pledging installation of perimeter fencing, smaller blasts, additional matting, and police escorts for all truck deliveries on Groton Harvard Road. A-1 Blasting confirmed 19 completed blasts and 27 remaining; the blast master's license was suspended 45 days and revoked by the State Fire Marshal.
A stop work order remains in effect pending Building Commissioner approval of revised blasting and traffic plans.
