AYER — Planning Board approves Senior Center and pharmacy expansion; denies traffic-study waiver. The board unanimously approved site plans for a Senior Center on Bishop Road and an Ayer Family Pharmacy parking-lot expansion at 7, 13, and 15 Park Street, granting a combined five zoning bylaw waivers. The 13,000-square-foot Bishop Road Senior Center will be built on existing town DPW property with parking and utilities.
The board voted 2 to 3 to reject a traffic-study waiver for a nine-unit residential project at 20 Groton Harvard Road, requiring the applicant to commission the study before proceeding; that hearing continues July 14. Julie Murray was elected Planning Board Clerk.
