Ayer Planning Board continues a stalled nine-unit housing hearing after a new traffic study addresses queuing concerns. The board voted 4-0 to continue the 20 Groton Harvard Road public hearing to August 11, after Town Planner Danny Ruiz reported that Vanasse & Associates' traffic study found Groton Harvard Road carries 3,900 cars per day, with peak volumes of 290 to 330 vehicles per hour, and recommended sight-line and pedestrian improvements. Members separately approved $3,000 from the Planning Donation Fletcher Estate Account for an AI-based meeting-minutes subscription, Clerk's Minutes, after resident Rachel Kozera asked "would the data be used for anything other than just taking notes?" Ruiz also briefed the board on a possible moratorium on data centers and a coming battery-storage bylaw, telling members "I don't want to be the one the last one to do it." A resident identified as Ruth told the board data centers' impacts are "more negative than they are positive." Janet Providakes announced the town's third housing forum for September 29 at Town Hall.
