Planning Board · Meeting of August 25, 2026
Ayer's Planning Board approved a stormwater permit for a National Grid substation parking expansion and pushed a vote on a Littleton Road apartment project to September 22. Chair Jonathan Kranz and members Ken Diskin, Julie Murray, David Cibor and Peter Kush voted 5-0 to approve the stormwater permit covering 94.78 acres on Radisson Road for New England Power Company, built around a 36-condition decision drafted by Town Planner Danny Ruiz. The board also continued a hearing on The Grossman Companies' proposed three-story building at 26 and 30 Littleton Road, citing unresolved questions over an ADA sidewalk connection, fire-truck access and a bylaw waiver for smaller units.
A site walk set for September 1 may need rescheduling after a caller noted the date falls on Election Day. Diskin pressed for the board to begin a section-by-section review of Ayer's zoning bylaws, calling unfinished conservation restrictions "my biggest pet peeve."
