Commission approves house addition with buffer-zone protections

Conservation Commission · Meeting of May 28, 2026

AYER — The Ayer Conservation Commission unanimously approved a home addition near Flannagan Pond and ordered culvert project review. The commission issued an Order of Conditions for the 153 Oak Ridge Drive project, requiring construction materials stored away from the pond and fencing mark work limits. Hearings on the Orion Park Drive and 50 Deer Run projects were continued to June 11.

For the Bligh Street/Pirone Park culvert removal, where Town Engineer Matt Hernon accompanied the commission on a May 23 site visit, the commission voted unanimously that a formal Notice of Intent is required, with the stream restoration project needing full review and invasive-vegetation removal addressed.
