Conservation Commission approves Orion Park Drive project conditions
Conservation Commission · Meeting of July 9, 2026
Ayer Conservation Commission approves Orion Park Drive project with environmental conditions. Conservation Agent Heather Hampson incorporated requirements based on State Natural Heritage comments: the Sawyer May, LLC project to build a roadway extension, cul-de-sac, storm water system, and utilities received conditions restricting work between March 1 and April 15 during nesting season and requiring completion of all vegetation as soon as the road is completed. The Commission voted 4-0 to approve and issue the Order of Conditions.
The Commission also extended the buffer zone for vernal pools from 100 feet to 200 feet and clarified a new fee schedule ranging from $25 to $500 for various applications.
