Commission clears DPW bridge repairs without requiring wetlands permit

Ayer Conservation Commission unanimously approves bridge repair project without requiring wetlands permit. The commission voted unanimously (5-0) to issue a negative determination for the Town DPW's Barnum Road Bridge rehabilitation, clearing the plan without requiring a wetlands protection permit. Town Engineer Matt Hernon presented the repair project, which includes concrete and erosion work with enhanced environmental mitigation measures, and construction is anticipated to begin in 2027.
